The Fill | Consider The Ravens
"Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?" (Luke 12)
As Jesus spoke these words to his disciples, and as the words trickled down to us a couple thousand year later, the truth still remains: how much more we are cared for than the birds. This shirt, named after our friend Phil "Fill" Admunsen, is a reminder that God sustains his creation, and how much more he sustains us. (Because sometimes we forget. And then we worry about how we will be Filled.)
The hand-drawn illustration depicts ravens flying out of a patch of wildflowers that form an exhaling face.
The Subtitle verse, in English and Vietnamese, comes from Matthew 6- “Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? “And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?“And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. “But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith!"
